NOTICE: THE CRATER OF DIAMONDS STATE PARK CAMPGROUND IS CLOSED BEGINNING JULY 26, 2009, AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL SPRING 2010 WHILE UNDERGOING A TOTAL RENOVATION.
Beginning July 26, the park campground featuring 59 campsites will close to undergo renovation. This closure will be in effect for several months while the entire campground is improved. Daisy State Park is an alternate choice. On 7,000-acre Lake Greeson, this nearby state park is 1/4 mile south of Daisy off U.S. 70. The drive time is only about 25 minutes from the Crater of Diamonds to Daisy State Park. NOTE: CAMPING REGULATIONS LISTED BELOW WILL AGAIN BE APPLICABLE WHEN THE PARK CAMPGROUND REOPENS.

Discounts: The following discounts apply only to the regular rates,
and not the winter rates.
Camping discounts of one-half the regular rate are available to Arkansas citizens
62 years of age or older, for Sunday through Thursday nights; a 25 percent discount applies
on weekends and holiday weekends. Out-of-state U.S. citizens age 62 and over receive
a 25 percent camping discount Sunday through Thursday nights, but no discount on weekends
or holiday weekends. Proof of age is required.
U.S. citizens who are permanently and totally and/or 100 percent disabled may receive
a camping discount of one-half the regular rate. Written proof of disability determination
is required. Items accepted as verification include:
- A letter from the Veteran's Administration
- An Arkansas license plate beginning with the letters DV or DAV
- A letter from your personal physician
- Railroad Retirement, or Civil Service dated within the last two years stating "100 percent disabled" or "permanently and totally disabled"
PLEASE NOTE THAT ARKANSAS STATE PARKS CAMPGROUNDS DO NOT HONOR ANY FEDERAL
DISCOUNT CARDS.

Camping reservations are accepted 12 months in advance of your intended stay. Reservations
require a two-night minimum stay on Friday and Saturday nights, and a three-night
minimum stay when a holiday causes a three-day weekend. All reservations require
payment of a non-refundable reservation fee of one night's camping fee at the time
the reservation is made. Payment by credit card is required. Reservations are accepted
by phone or in person from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
